Thank You — Your Google Sheets Payroll Template

Step 1 — get your own copy

Click the button, then click Make a copy. The sheet saves into your own Google Drive — staff tab, payslip tab, dropdown and the Payroll menu all ready to use. Your copy is private to you.

You need to be signed in to a Google account.

Step 2 — first time you use it

Open your copy and click Payroll in the top menu (next to Help). Google will ask permission — click Advanced, then “Go to … (unsafe)”, then Allow.
That warning is normal: it is your own private copy of the script, not an app from a stranger. It needs permission to create the PDF and send the email for you. You only do this once.

Then every month

1. Add your staff — use Payroll › ➕ Add employee, or type straight onto the Employees tab.
2. On the Payslip tab, pick a name from the dropdown and set the pay period.
3. Payroll › Save payslip as PDF, or Email payslip to employee — or Email ALL employees for the whole team at once.

Run Payroll › Check my setup any time to confirm everything works. Update the tax rebate once a year in the TAX SETTINGS block on the Payslip tab — no formulas to edit.
